Pontoon Diving Boards Campaign

Jon has been campaigning to install sea-based pontoon diving boards in Plymouth Sound since 2020.

Jon spends hundreds of hours on Plymouth Hoe and he remembers Plymouth’s Diving Boards vividly and when they were gated off and eventually removed.

Since then, Jon has watched too many people risking serious injury and their lives tombstoning.

Jon’s campaign to install sea-based pontoons would make sea-based diving safer for all in Plymouth.

He has been working with Plymouth residents, local businesses and Plymouth City Council to ensure that this happens by 2024.

Local Business

Supporting & Promoting Plymouth Business Campaign

Jon grew up surrounded by local businesses as many of his family members and friends have businesses located in Plymouth.

Due to being surrounded by local independent businesses, Jon understands the effort that each and every owner puts in, and it’s why he is a passionate advocate for local businesses.

He has spent years working with and buying from local businesses in Plymouth. Jon started his ‘Shop Local Plymouth’ Campaign over three years ago to promote local, before using multinational companies.

Jon’s view is, if you spend your money with a local business, that money is more likely to be spent with another local business or to employ a local person in Plymouth.

Jon regularly works with and campaigns on behalf of local businesses throughout the City of Plymouth.
